This boy is having some FUN!!

MacFayden---or Max, how he's called at his foster home, is doing wonderful. He's still getting further treatments for his flea allergies, but his skin has drastically improved already. He was also a bit too fond of the cat at his first foster home, so he went on to a new foster home, where he settled in without a problem.
Right now Max is actually on a doggy vacation at his foster mom's sister's farm and is having a blast. His foster mom Shari writes: "It's a huge horse farm where he can run and swim in the creek. He swam for the first time last week and it was so great to see him literally come alive even more! He is very happy and acting more like his age."

Foster Home Report

MacFayden's foster home has the following to report: "Mac is probably 8-9 years old according to the original owner.

Mac has lived most of his life in a pen-the owner even admitted that the
dog only hunted one time. His pen was surrounded by weeds so his vision of
the world was extremely limited.

He is very sweet and outgoing with other dogs and humans and active, has no
difficulty with joint problems. The vet did recommend that he eat a low
residue diet-it seems to agree with him better. His teeth are looking good and he's been treated for heartworm and is neutered and is a very happy easygoing dog.

He enjoys watching and stalking cats and birds of course. Mac likes all
dogs but he is a definite "no-cat" dog. No food aggression or other
dog aggression noted. He is enjoying his Nylabones and lying around the
living room with the rest of the pack.

His weight is 51 pounds."

Please take a close look at this sweet boy. He's been waiting so long for somebody to love and take good care of him. We are crossing our fingers that his special family is going to see him soon!!

A Sad Life

MacFayden is a 9 year old tri-color setter boy that's hasn't had an easy life so far. He was living a life on a chain for all those years and his poor teeth are worn down and dull from chewing on the chain (who can blame him). Mac is also recovered from flea allergies that scabbed over part of his poor skin.

Mac is in foster care at this point and is doing well. He's had no problem getting used to a loving home environment, is housebroken and has shown that he can be a cuddlebug once given the chance. MacFayden tested Heartworm positive and is currently undergoing treatment.
